There I was

Welcome the “There I was” section of the Hog Pen, I hope you enjoy the “war stories” found here. I got the idea for this section from an old Air Force publication call Tac Attack (this is when Air Combat Command ACC, was called Tactical Air Command or TAC) and Tac Attack was TACs monthly magazine. The section I loved most was the “There I was” section which was used to post stories from around the Air Force which could teach, inform, or just entertain. That’s what I would like to do with this section...with your help.

The stories may not be directly A-10 related but each is a moment in someone’s life related to the military. As the last sentence implies I do want to keep this military related but it doesn’t have to be from your life in the military. It can be about a friend of family member you would like to write about or remember or, for you civilians, maybe an airshow experience or trip to a military base which affected your life. As long as it relates to the military or a military member it can go here.

If you ever wish to contribute please send your story ( in notepad or Microsoft works doc.) and any pictures you would like included (700 pix or smaller) and I will post it. If you are not good at graphics send the pictures and I will work with them to fit into the story. I do reserve the right to edit stories and pictures to better fit the section and my webspace but, if I make changes to the story itself, I will email you a copy and get your OK before posting it.
